The Temple of Poseidon as described by Plato was massive and had many a feature. It was dedicated to both Cleito and Poseidon. The exterior stood host to gold statues of the 10 sons and their wives. Surrounded by an fence of gold, it had a slightly "barbaric appearance" although the exterior was covered with silver and the pinnacles with gold. Every year the citizens brought fruit from the 10 areas for the 5 sets of twins.
